Sore Losers
Now you know me, never one to rant about anything or launch into unreasonable or unfair abuse of unfortunate victims.
That said, I really hope Blackburn Rovers go down the sore losing, dirty, tinpot Lancashire club who have more empty seats than an X-Factor Series One Reunion Gig.
If this is read by any Rovers fans you might feels like strangling me, but a) you don't know where I live and b) I should warn you, I'm 6ft five inches, 18 stone and have a black belt in a variety of mixed martial arts!
In fairness, I don't have anything against Blackburn fans - other than the fact almost 20,000 of them have disappeared since Alan Shearer and Jack Walker's millions were firing them to the Premiership title in 1995 - it's just everytime I visit Ewood Park I'm irriated by some jobsworth with a power complex.
At every Premiership game, the visiting press are allowed to interview players, be it in the tunnel, in a special room or outside in the rain and snow.
All except Blackburn who, having been stuffed 3-1 at home, decided we weren't allowed to interview the players unless we joined the autograph hunters by the team coach. Hmm, have you ever tried to interview someone next to a 15-year-old with a black marker pen and a shirt that needs a scribble? Hear yourself and think spring to mind.
But no, we were ejected from the main reception area, firstly by a succession of stewards - who were only doing their jobs to be fair - and then by a director with a moustach and a suit, who demanded we returned upstairs to the press lounge immediately.
Alight, calm down, it's only game you know. Don't take it so personally!
Anyway, great result for Glenn Roeder and his band of merry (or injured) men, particularly Obafemi Martins who is finally starting to look as though he can be a goalscoring threat in the Premiership.
But, for me, the most telling thing from Saturday's game was just how important Emre has become to the side. Newcastle lost their grip on midfield when the Turk was stretchered off (thankfully it's not a broken ankle as first feared) and the former Inter Milan man has coupled energy off the ball with his undoubted ability on it. I just hope he isn't out for too long.
The same is true of Nolberto "I'm a better right back than Stephen Carr" Solano and bargain buy of 2006 Antoine Sibierski.
More injuries, cursed I tell thee...

I have no idea what a 'dander' is but when Emre has ‘got it up’, he is a World beater, I hope it’s not too painful though.
I had likened him to a Beardsley but, not quite as good, much more understandable in interviews though despite only having three words of English. I Hope he gets it up again!
Eureka! a great Idea Luke, perhaps you could be employed by the club to abuse the players before kick off and thus killing two birds with one stone, you will be assured an instant quote in return.
Ruud Gullit brought in a witch doctor to try and rid the club of its bad luck, but bad luck comes when you have bad people running things.
That's my theory anyway, although I'm willing to try anything. How about putting up a few wind chimes to scare the bad spirits away? Exorcism?
I didn't see this coming at all so credit where credit is due, Glenn Roeder has done very well with an injury-hit squad and the relegation fears I had in October are already starting to disappear. There is so much rubbish in the Premiership this season I think we'd be safe even if we didn't buy any new players - which we must - in January.
However, I would like to put this into some sort of context. Newcastle United should not be in the bottom half of the table, we should be challenging for a European place. The reason we are not is because massive mistakes were made by both manager and chairman in the summer. They created the mess, thankfully Roeder and the players are getting us out of it.
I hate Blackburn too. It all stems back to the days when we were both at the top of the league. I really hope they go down so Robbie Savage has it stuck right in his arrogant, dirty, cheating face!!
I think the only way we can exorcise demons is to confront them. That's why I was hoping we'd get Hereford away in the FA Cup 3rd Round, stuff them 4-0 and finally lay that ghost to rest.
Either that or I'm the jinx so I should just not bother anymore!!
